Its most basic element is that Plants vs Zombies is a tower defense strategy game in which you are tasked with using plants to defend your house against zombie waves. Sounds simple? - Plants should be wisely positioned in every row to prevent zombies.
- New zombies will grow to have harder armor and new tricks, adjust your setup appropriately.

On your way, you will open up various biomes such as the front yard, backyard pool, gardens covered with fog, and even the roof. In every area, new challenges and new types of zombies are introduced.
Game Modes
The remastered Plants vs Zombies is filled with classic and expanded modes, which offer the fans, new and old, a lot to sink their teeth into:
- Adventure Mode: The first campaign of its inception. Move in day and night, pools, fog and rooftops.
- Mini-Games & Challenges: Experiment with fun variations of bonus levels - play bowling with Wall-nuts or play in rapid-fire mode with peas.
- Survival Mode: Survive as long as possible until you die of the waves.
- Co-Op Mode: Find a partner to play in split-screen and plan your defense with him.
